A Thanksgiving Letter, 2025

for the ones who have carried the light with us

There’s a particular quiet that comes with late November, a soft settling, almost like the world is pausing long enough for us to hear our own hearts again. Thanksgiving has always been less about celebration for us and more about remembrance. A moment to look around and notice the people who have made this journey feel less like a climb and more like a shared unfolding.

And this year, more than any other, we find ourselves thinking of you.

From the very beginning, Set Forth NY ® was never meant to be a brand that stood at a distance. We started from a place of lived truth - from loss, from love, from the courage to begin again when the ground beneath us felt unsteady. We created light not to lead the way, but to hold it with others who knew what it meant to navigate change, grief, or renewal at their own pace.

What we didn’t know then, what we couldn’t have known, was how many of you would walk with us. How many of you would invite our candles into your homes, your rituals, your healing, your everyday moments. How many of you would read our letters, reply with your own stories, or simply show up quietly, the way companions do.

You became the continuum we hoped to offer others: presence, belonging, a reminder that light doesn’t fade; it changes form.
You helped us remember why we chose this path in the first place.

This year held its own shifts and stretching points - moments of growth, moments of doubt, and moments when we had to return to the promise that started it all. But every time we felt the weight of moving forward, your support met us like a steady breath. Your messages, your purchases, your patience, your trust, they grounded us. They told us that this work still matters. That the light still matters.

So on this Thanksgiving, we simply want to say:
Thank you for being one of the reasons we continue.
Thank you for meeting our light with your own.
Thank you for letting us be part of your journey, even in the smallest, most tender ways.
